Bowen therapy is a form of bodywork involving light-touch cross-fibre rolling moves over specific points on the dog’s body, applied in particular sequences. It works on the soft tissue i.e. muscle, tendon, ligaments and the inter and intra connective tissue called fascia.
For healing and supporting soft tissue issues like strains, sprains, stiffness, limping, lameness and recovery from injury or surgery (after the wound has healed).
To support a dog with mobility problems from arthritis. Bowen can free up movement and provide pain relief by releasing/relaxing both overworked compensating soft tissue and overly tight protecting soft tissue.
Can be calming for anxious dogs.
